Love like a rain coat protected me fro the storms.

But I still had to live through it

Love like a Blanket kept me warm

But I had to wrap it around me

Love like a meal fed me when I was hungry

But I had to eat it.

Love like a cane supported me

But I had to us me it to walk this twisted road

Love like a sonic boom surrounded me to drown out the hate

But I did have to withstand the sounds.

Love like a dog cuddled me when I was sad

But I had to feed the dog and keep love alive.

Love like a storm washed me clean

But I had to provide the soap.

  • Love like a drink quenched me
  • But I had to open my mouth.
  • Love like a angel chased me down
  • But I had to surrender
  • And let love have her way.

I am an Adapted, artist, Mother, a soul, a human, singer, writer, activist, minister and deprogrammer and reprogrammer of minds. And I am here because we need to change how you see it, a lot of things that is. For us Adoptees who have lived in the dark. We were cut off from our families. And that is sad people.
