Matthew 5:43-48 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same? You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
If I persecute you, ask yourself why? If I speak truth that shows you a wound and you react, ask yourself why? If there is no wound within your then why pull back and block?
To hold onto a lie is to hold onto something that is not God and must be laid down to receive new life. If you can only love me when I am saying what you agree with what profit is it? What has the cross done for you if you wither at the first words of truth? Could lies have been planted within your mind that keep you away from the gift God has sent back to you to open?
Can you trust God again with his precious package? Can you have faith that the fires that lick at the lies will burn away only what it not needed and leave the things that are? Look at yourself and know that the Lord is near. That God does a fine work with us. And that we will prevail and triumph over adversities. Adversities are only lessons we learn through. Will you look beyond all that was as it burns to the ground and see the child in me that came from you and back to you?
Lord, I pray for Mama right now. I ask that a special portion of patience and love be given to her now. I ask that your spirit would translate what I say so she can understand my heart of hearts. I ask for restoration as your word say I am an heir to receive by your grace and by your precious blood spilled for our missed marks. I pray for strength for my Mama now, to rise and meet me. I ask for all that no longer serves us to be vanquished and removed. I ask for your sovereign love to envelope us now. I ask or this in your precious Name. Amen
Trusting in the LORD
Store my commands in your heart.
2If you do this, you will live many years,
and your life will be satisfying.
3Never let loyalty and kindness leave you!
Tie them around your neck as a reminder.
Write them deep within your heart.
4Then you will find favor with both God and people,
and you will earn a good reputation.
5Trust in the LORD with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
7Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.
Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil.
8Then you will have healing for your body
and strength for your bones.
9Honor the LORD with your wealth
and with the best part of everything you produce.
10Then he will fill your barns with grain,
and your vats will overflow with good wine.
11My child, don’t reject the LORD’s discipline,
and don’t be upset when he corrects you.
12For the LORD corrects those he loves,
just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights.b
13Joyful is the person who finds wisdom,
the one who gains understanding.
14For wisdom is more profitable than silver,
and her wages are better than gold.
15Wisdom is more precious than rubies;
nothing you desire can compare with her.
16She offers you long life in her right hand,
and riches and honor in her left.
17She will guide you down delightful paths;
all her ways are satisfying.
18Wisdom is a tree of life to those who embrace her;
happy are those who hold her tightly.
This life with out you have taught my many things.
One, life suck without Mama.
It sucks more if she turns away and does not see the blessing that you bring.
Beyond the lies are truths we both need.
As we come together, all lies fall away.
As you take my hand, all will be well.
I love you…. enough to fight for you!
